Our third billboard is up!
The
third billboard in NAIFA-Pennsylvania's external marketing campaign
is up! The billboard along Interstate 81 near Dickson City joins
those already placed along Interstate 81, just a few yards before
Exit 72 (Paxtonia/Linglestown), outside of Harrisburg, and along
Interstate 78 eastbound near Hamburg. Members are being asked
to contribute a minimum of $20 to support a statewide billboard
campaign that asks "Is your insurance agent or financial
advisor a member?." This voluntary assessment, along with
some selected town meetings, local proclamations for life insurance
awareness month and greater awareness of our Keystone Foundation
will greatly increase NAIFA-PA's visibility with the general
public and the industry. Click on the button below to

NAIFA and AHIA Organizing National Lobby Day on July 15
It's crunch time for healthcare reform. Beginning this week and likely extending though late July, reforming the health care system and the health insurance structure that supports it will be front and center in Congress. Central to the debate for NAIFA members marketing health insurance is the question whether agents will continue to play a central role in the delivery of health insurance to businesses and individuals.
For NAIFA’s members marketing life insurance and annuities, the question is whether taxes involving life insurance and annuities will be used to help pay for any new health care and insurance structure.
All NAIFA and AHIA members are encouraged to participate in a July 15 Congressional fly-in to present their case directly with their representatives in Congress. For details, please go to www.naifa.org/flyin.
For those who are unable to travel to Washington, NAIFA urges you to contact your elected representative and ask him or her to:
- Only support health reform legislation that preserves the valued role agents play in the system.
- Oppose creation of a new government-run insurance plan.
- Ensure that consumers have access to the guidance and expertise of a licensed professional health insurance agent.

Chris Noth, an actor best known for his leading roles on Sex and the City and Law & Order, has been named the 2009 Life Insurance Awareness Month celebrity spokesman. The LIFE Foundation is gearing up for the annual Life Insurance Awareness Month observance in September. Noth's father and grandfather were agents for Prudential. Noth's father died in a car accident, leaving Noth's mother to raise three boys on her own.
